In continuation with last semester i hope to continue my development in creating a non particle based system that is fully animated and always unique while still maintaining the quality of renders and realism of animation that the particle system offers.This has been achieved through many steps involving a variety of techniques from animating vector displacement maps to devoloping a new texturing method.
The goal i hope to achieve in the upcoming weeks is to have the completed rendered version of my animated water with caustics lighting/rendering inside of a physical environment. With the use of refractions and reflections i hope to achieve a realistic looking water system through Maya's Mental Ray. Once the look and feel is completed i then hope to move the environment into Unity to make it interactive and possibly develop a small application to be published on Android and Apple operating systems.
